• Hello!
     
    My name is Ms.Rahnama and I am the art teacher at Los Coches Creek Middle School. I teach because I believe every child should gain a greater appreciation for art, regardless of their future career path. I teach using the Visual Arts standards:
     
    Students will be doing all sorts of amazing things in art. We will learn about color theory, drawing techniques, art history and will explore art through technology. It is my goal that all students will leave art with a strong capability to solve problems creatively and generate ideas, which is a highly sought after skill in today's world.

    Student expectations in the art room

          1. Keep track of your own assignments.

          2. Start your work on time and allow enough time to finish. 

          3. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself

          4. Do your own work.

    5. Accept responsibility for grades or other consequences.

     

     Grading Scale and Criteria:
     
    All projects, exercises and class activities are based on the Cajon Union District Grading Scale.
    All are based on a point system, depending on the complexity of each project.
     
    Projects: 60%      Exercises: 30%      Quiz/Test/: 10%

    93-98%          A
    90-92%          A-
    88-89%          B+
    83-87%          B
    80-82%          B-
    78-79%          C+
    73-77%          C
    70-72%          C-
