The objective of this course is to introduce students to basic programming and problem solving strategies as theyโ assemble, program, maintain, and repair robotic devices.
Advanced Roboticsโ: Yearlong (Available Grades 7 and 8)
The objective of this course is to expand upon students’ programming and problem solving skills as they work in teams to โassemble, program, maintain, and repair robotic devices. It includes instruction in the history and development of robotic devices; the types of robotic devices used in industry and their component makeup; computer control systems and robot computer language programming as well as troubleshooting techniquesโ. Students will work in teams to design, build, and program robots developing a clear understanding of motor control, gear ratios, torque, friction, sensors, timing, program loops, decision-making, timing sequences, and propulsion systems.
