Why do we have an Advisory model at Bostonia?
We have an Advisory model so that teachers, students and families can develop and build strong bonds during their three years in middle school. The Advisory time (from 9-10am every morning and 3-3:15 every afternoon) is a key time for discussing important issues and helping students become invested in doing their part to create a strong, vibrant, healthy school community where they can flourish. During the middle school years, students hone their talents and often develop lifelong hobbies, interests, and skills.
What is Advisory?
Our advisors foster connectedness by consistently building relationships, trust and focusing on scholar future selves.
