About Mrs. Munguia
Mrs. Munguia began her teaching career in Oakland, California. After her first child was a year old, she and her husband Frank, moved from Berkeley back to her hometown of San Diego. She worked at Naranca Elementary as a Spanish bilingual teacher for five years before coming to Fuerte in 2006.
Mrs. Munguia received a BA in Liberal Studies and a teaching credential from SDSU. Prior to starting her teaching profession, she worked in the field of Public Health for 5 years, earning a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from UC Berkeley. She found her way back to the field of elementary education because it is in this profession that she believes she can make the greatest difference.
She married Frank Wulftange in 1995, a middle school history teacher in Lemon Grove. They live in San Carlos and have two amazing children, Sophia (20) and Francisco (18). Sophia is a sophomore in college and Francisco is a senior at Grossmont Highschool. They enjoy summer vacations in Lake Tahoe and Utah. Some of Mrs. Munguia’s interests are, backpacking, hiking, and spending time with her family.
