Nature's Fury Project

I. The students will find and describe an example of weather-related artwork.

Find a picture on the Internet, Magazine, or personal picture of any type of a weather related incident. ( Thunderstorm, flood, lightning, fire, dust storm...etc.)

Make a sketch of the picture

Write 3 paragraphs describing the artwork, focusing on the weather and the mood it conveys; gloomy, scary, peaceful, exciting etc. (This type of writing will be taught in writing class)

Paragraph One – Describe the storm, setting, cause….

Paragraph Two – Describe the mood of the picture.

Paragraph Three – Write your personal reactions.

Put the original picture, your sketch, and your writing on a poster given to you by Mrs. Flickinger. Matting is required. Typing -Optional

Below you will find two websites with a good selection of photos. You can also "Google' images and you will find an endless selection of photos.
